'Black Love' is not an erotic sex film. It is rather a study of an important aspect of a black experience; the act of making love of two people physically and psychologically fulfilling basic human needs and desires. Through a significant extent, 'Black Love' is different from any other form of lovemaking because of a physical, sociological and psychological differences among black people. Some of these differences are real. Others are imagined. And some are based on myths, ignorance and fantasy. This is not a film about professional actors and actresses, nor does it involve professional sex performers. We have gone into the black community to interview and photograph a wide variety of ordinary black people, primarily married couples who were willing to participate in this scientific experiment.
