"Diary of a Nudist" (1961), directed by Doris Wishman, is an early example of the nudist film genre, which was a popular sub-genre of exploitation cinema in the late '50s and early '60s.
The film follows Arthur Sherwood, a newspaper editor who, while on a hunting trip, accidentally discovers a nudist camp. Appalled, he sends his reporter, Stacy Taylor, to infiltrate the camp and write an exposé. However, Stacy finds herself enjoying the nudist lifestyle, leading to a positive portrayal of nudism rather than the intended exposé. Eventually, Arthur himself joins the camp and also converts to the naturist lifestyle.
